ROBBIE BURNS NIGHT A GREAT SUCCESS

Bagpipes, Drums, Haggis, Toasts, Highland Dancers and Cheers~ 50 members enjoyed a cheerful, witty, and fun-filled evening with Scotch and good friends. David Scandrett Emcee keep us listening carefully for his humorous repartee and the Toasts to the Laddies & the Lassies by John Falloon & Susan Ellis were inspired and cheeky and enjoyed by all!

The Tables were auctioned off to go to dinner and $760.05 was raised for Judy Hoggs dancers to support their trip to Scotland this summer to enter into the Highland Dance Competitions. Much was made of the .$05 (nickel) in change, really expressing the Scottish thrifty spirit.

The Dancers danced several traditional Highland dances and even taught members a dance. The Cowichan Pipes and Drums Association representatives entertained us with their music. Haggis was cut and served with a delicious dinner.
