2026 MBYC REGATTA - ONE OF THE VERY BEST EVER!

Last weekend, over 125 sailors converged onto our docks, lower and upper parking lots, our grassland, our Dining Room , our Delicious Food, our Lounge, our Bar and our Beer Gardens ~ people were everywhere and with them the excitement, camaraderie and genuine fun of the Regatta!

The weather was perfect, with perfect wind for 32 races. Imagine the amount of calculations to determine the winners, all of whom are posted on the website. The music made for non-stop gaiety, the yellow Regatta shirts created a color swirl and Burgers, 50/50, and silent auction created a busy atmosphere. The 50/50 was won by Ryder Prat and the new 420 fund now has an additional $733 in the bank.

What an organized activity hub! Every detail was prepared for by an amazing , hard-working committee. These are the Volunteer gals & guys on the Planning Team who pulled it off in grand style:

Don & Eileen Gillingham, Kelly Eakins, Steve Williams, Bob Webb, Rae Simpson, John Rothwell, Dan Phippson, Susan Ellis, Susan Allen, John Van Den Hengel, Ken Neilson, Steven Garner, Chris Mills, Rhona Lettau, and David Green. And then there was the staff who were described as excellent by all: Dockmaster Mike and Bartenders SJ and Beck. And thanks also to the many, many volunteers who stepped in to help on the Regatta Days. And, wait a minute, the leader, our Fleet Captain, Glenn Robinson deserves great applause~ thanks so much Glenn for a Regatta that makes our membership proud of MBYC Regatta 2026!
