Important Update: Happy Hour Pricing and Liquor Regulation Compliance

As many of you are aware, our Happy Hour draft beer was priced at $4.00 (including taxes) until April 15th.

Following a recent review of our pricing, the Board found that this rate did not meet the minimum pricing requirements set out in Policy Directive 14-15 by the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch. Specifically, the directive requires a minimum price of $0.25 per ounce before taxes. When factoring in the mandatory 15% tax for a 16-ounce glass, the absolute minimum compliant price is $4.60.

To ensure our club remains in good standing with our Liquor Primary License Regulations, the Board of Directors has decided to simplify our pricing by moving to a single rate for draft beer.

Effective immediately, draft beer will be available at our regular price of $4.75 (including taxes). As this rate is just above the provincial compliance threshold, it allows us to maintain the best possible value for our members while meeting all legal obligations.
